Opal Towers East Condominium are (2) two existing 10-Story residential high-rise towers located at 1149 Hillsboro Mile, Hillsboro Beach, FL 33062. The buildings were built in 1972 and the occupancy of this building is Apartment Occupancy with other uses described below. The building is divided into two towers connected by a podium base. and each tower is provided with three stairwells and an elevator shaft, the residential corridors run east to west. Parking is available under the towers. Two items are covered in this report (1) A life safety survey and a professional analysis on the life safety conditions on the building and (2) a set of recommendations called the “Engineered Life Safety System” which upon approval by Broward Sherriff’s Office, become the required modifications and upgrades to be implemented.
